I ordered from basedbodyworks.com, the usage instructions were confusing. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect clear directions on how much to use and when to use it, especially for a product like this. Instead, I felt like I was guessing half the time. I checked the info on the site too, but that didn’t really help much either. Maybe other people found it obvious, but I didn’t, and it made the whole experience frustrating

"Way Too Strong for Me"
I wanted to like this so badly, but oh my gosh, the fragrance was just not it for me. It smelled really artificial and hit me like a wall the second I used it. After a few minutes, I had a headache and couldn’t wait to get away from the smell. Definitely not something I’d use again...

"Went bad way too fast"
I bought this body butter and it went bad way sooner than I expected. After just a few weeks it started smelling kinda weird, so I ended up tossing it. For the price, the shelf life really isn’t great, which was dissapointing

"Pretty Disappointed With My Order"
I was really hoping for a smooth experience, but unfortunately my order didn’t go the way I expected at all. When the package showed up, I realized I had been sent the wrong items, and on top of that, one of the things I actually ordered was missing completely. I reached out to support thinking it would be a quick fix, but the response was slow, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. I understand mistakes happen, but between the mix-up and the delay in getting help, it left me feeling like I probably wouldn’t order from them again.

"Frustrating to Use"
I tried using Based Body Works and ended up giving up after a while. The site felt clunky, pages were loading slowly for me, and finding basic information took way more effort than it should. Some of the buttons weren’t very clear either, so I kept clicking around and ending up in the same places. Maybe other people have a smoother experience, but to me, a website should be simple to navigate without having to overthink it.

I tried checking out twice and my card got declined both times. I kept wondering if maybe I typed something in wrong, but I’m sure everything was correct. After the second failed attempt, I just gave up.

"Didn’t feel worth it to me"
I came away feeling like this was a bit overpriced for what I received. The items looked decent online, so maybe my expectations were too high, but for the price I thought the quality would be better and that there’d be a little more attention to detail. I’ve bought similar things elsewhere for less and ended up happier with them. Personally, it just didn’t feel like a good value.

"Something felt off"
I don’t know, maybe I’m overthinking it, but the bottle looked different from the last one I bought and the seal seemed kind of odd. It could totally just be a packaging change, sure, but in the back of my mind I kept wondering if it was actually legit. I just couldn’t get comfortable with it, so I don’t think I’ll be reordering

"Promo code didn’t seem to work"
I tried using one of their discount codes at checkout, and it just wouldn’t go through for some reason. I spent maybe a few minutes trying to figure it out, but there wasn’t really any clear help or explanation. The discount never applied, which was frustrating.

"I really wanted to like basedbodyworks…"
I really wanted to like Based Body Works, but my experience ended up being average. To be fair, the product wasn’t terrible and customer service did respond when I reached out. That said, shipping took longer than I expected, the tracking updates were a bit unclear, and the item didn’t feel quite worth the price to me. The support reply also wasn’t especially helpful. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but I probably wouldn’t be in a hurry to order again.

I’ve been trying to cancel my subscription and it’s been such a hassle. The whole process feels confusing, and on top of that I keep getting these aggressive reminders like I’m doing something wrong for not continuing. Really frustrating experience.

"Wanted more transparency on sourcing"
I really wanted to give basedbodyworks.com a fair shot, but I just couldn’t find enough clear info about where their ingredients actually come from or how they vet their suppliers. There’s plenty of nice wording about the products, but without real details or proof around ethical sourcing, it felt a little empty to me.
The sustainability claims also seemed thin. I couldn’t find clear packaging info, certifications, or any real goals they’re working toward, and the vague marketing fluff felt unnecessary. For a body care brand, that kind of transparency matters, so I’m giving it 1 star

I ordered two and felt like I got less than I expected. On top of that, the sizing ran small, which was annoying. It kind of makes me hesitant to trust the sizing or order again.

"Returning It Was Way More Trouble Than It Should’ve Been"
I tried to return my order, the whole process was a hassle. The replies were slow, the return address info wasn’t clear, and I’m still waiting on my refund. At this point, I’m sure I won’t be ordering again. It’s just not worth the stress.

"Still not totally sure I’d order again"
The site looks decent enough, but I didn’t feel fully comfortable placing an order. There wasn’t much info about the brand, and the reviews were kind of hard to tell if they were legit or not. What also bothered me was how vague some of the policies felt, like there are loopholes where they could easily deny returns or avoid responsibility if something goes wrong. Maybe everything is fine, but I’d need to see clearer trust signals and more straightforward policies before I’d feel good buying again.

"Wanted to like it, but my skin felt off"
I was actually excited to try this, but that changed fast. It just felt weird on my skin — sticky at first, then kind of rough, which surprised me. I kept waiting for it to sink in and feel soft or moisturized, but it mostly just sat there. Super disappointing because I really wanted it to work for me.

"Messy and harder to apply than expected"
I expected this to go on a lot more smoothly, but it was frustrating. The application felt messy, and I spent way too much time trying to get it even. I kept having to go back and fix random spots, which got annoying fast. Maybe it works better for others, but it definitely wasn’t easy for me. I’d at least expect some kind of apology or acknowledgment for how difficult it was to use.

"Ingredients Didn’t Match the Price"
I checked the ingredient lists before using it, i wasn’t thrilled. For what this costs, I expected the ingredients to be a lot cleaner or at least feel more premium, but it just came across basic. It’s frustrating because it feels like the standards keep shifting, one minute a product is marketed like it’s better quality, and then you read the label and the goalposts have moved. Some of the ingredients are things I usually try to avoid in body products, so I just didn’t feel great about using it. Maybe it works fine for other people, but I’ll be looking for something with better ingredients next time

I stopped in hoping to find a few things, but there didn’t seem to be much to choose from. It felt like almost everything I was looking for was out of stock, or at least I couldn’t find it anywhere.
